Poland's Treasury did not sell vodka maker Polmos Bialystok to
Polish vodka distributor/producer Sobieski Dystrybucja despite an
earlier announcement that an agreement between the sides was being
finalized on Wednesday. Socha bowed to trade-union pressure, the daily
Gazeta Wyborcza writes. Bialystok workers threatened with strike action
should Sobieski take up Bialystok's reins as they fear job losses.
